She hew down and broke her ankle Dec. 17 and could not climb the stairs. Got her present early. Keeps her noiseless while I try to do all the other things to care for her. The value and quaily are completely as advertised. She could not be happier and if she is felicitous, I am happy. WIFI forever.

Take care: Invalid License
I bought one of these laptops two months ago. It has been working only fine. Today Microsoft told me that the license is not valid. It has a valid tag of authenticity on the back but does not have a second "refurbished" CoA. When I look at the internal System Properties/Non-specialized tab it says "XP Corporate" which means it was covered under a mass/site license which can not be transferred or sold. I will perhaps have to buy a fresh copy of XP ($100) and re-install.
Before I made the order I checked to see that the advertisement specified "Candid Windows XP". I also checked the CoA when it arrived. When the Microsoft updater offered to run "Genuine Edge" to check the authenticity I confidently thought "sure, go right ahead."

Yes..... But
I couldn't accept more with the other reviews regarding the deceptiveness of some outfits - in this case Tiger - in selling refurbished items as new. I felt that it was mighty, however, to review the product and not the vendor. I've used the D610 professionally with great triumph for several years. I was so pleased with its performance that I bought one for my personal use as well as two more for my in-laws. I bought all three as refurbs but I knew what I was getting and the bonus was unbeatable at approximately $250.00 each. If you're a wannabe geek such as I am, you can easily find all of the service information necessary to service the D610 yourself. I've never had to service any of the three that I bought, but I did expand the memory in all of them. I was walking on air with how easy the upgrade was, how well engineered the product is, and how clear the service literature is as well. I bought a stony-hearted drive caddy and an additional 80GB HD to fit in the CD port, so now I have 2 bootable HDs and a ton of storage. If forced to search for a argumentative, the only thing I can come up with is the click action of the pointing device. The feel is a bit unyielding and the sound is somewhat irritating. That said, if the pointing device ever became bothersome enough a USB mouse could be purchased for a two of bucks. I was looking for another D610 to buy for my wife when I stumbled upon these reviews so I felt required to put in my two cents worth. Good luck with whatever product you choose!

RIPOFF; Refurbished, NOT NEW as advertised
Was circumspect to shop for brand new. Purchased this for a client. Although the refurb is factory, that is NOT what I purchased. Tiger Unqualified via Amazon, would not use again.

contented with this purchase
The computer came as described. We were very apt with what we got. It was a gift for my daughter and she loves it. It does everything she needs it to do. A few scratches on the top, but she never noticed. The mobile life is longer than the newer laptop that I have. I would certainly order through this company again. We felt like we got a enthusiastic deal.

Out of the box and well-disposed to go
I wanted to get my feet wet with my first laptop for haunt use. Not wanting to spend four figures, I decided to take a chance with a refurbished Dell Lattitude D610. I opted for a section that was upgraded to 1.86 GHZ/1GB/100GB HD, It seemd to be a no-brainer for an extra $25. When the coupled arrived, I was hesitant to open it. I had pictured some beat up, well used machine. I was in for a big bolt from. Aside from a few very superficial scratches on the shell, the machine appeared in great embody in words. I've been told that these lease machines generally are in good shape. The next few hours were wearied testing it with no failures. Everything worked as advertised. The mouse and key board were responsive, no shattered pixels on the screen. CD/DVD drive in perfect order and the USB ports (all four)worked dainty. The Wifi connect immediatly picked up a few LAN's on my street. I piggy-backed to examine that feature, but will pick up a router soon. Battery life was around 3 hours and require time is minimal. Link-Tronics in Santa Anna did a fine job refurbishing the element and shipping was very quick (paid extra for priority). All in all a great device for the money. We'll see how it goes long term...

Healthy laptop
I bought it to renew an
off-brand model I had that blew up.
I have been very happy with the purchase
though I do recommend getting it with
windows vista because xp is accepted to become
obsolete. (that's why the xp version is
so much more affordable..)
The shipping was very fast and the product
was used, but looked like it was type new!
(It came from a company)

True $233.00 Dell D610
I was skeptical about purchasing a refurbished D610. It has worked like a mesmerize the speed and capacity are suitable for my needs. It's a great home computer, I don't have to do any heavy computing with it but it seems fairly capable to take on any job.
The only thing that could be better is the brightness of the screen. I need to do some research to see if I can be comprised of c hatch adjustment in the screen brightness.
I purchased the updated anti-virus and malware software and updated my router, it in style all I could throw at it and works just fine.
For $233.00 this has been a great bargain!!!

Refurbished Dell Laptop
Dell Latitude D610 Laptop Wireless Computer (Refurbished)
I purchased a refurbished Dell Laptop with low expectations. And I got, I imagine, a much sturdier computer than I expected. I really hadn't wanted a Dell, but that was what was available at the time. I didn't give it 5 stars just because I do not believe everything is perfect.
It operates well at speed for my relatively simple needs, and is rank with OS for a very reasonable price. Even the battery has a little life in it .. it is good for about an hour. I bought it to substitute a Lenovo laptop that I have had for years, and relied upon until it had a disagreement with a glass of tea.
I had no trouble downloading and installing a few credible programs like Firefox, Thunderbird, Chrome, and Winamp. I had a little discord with the wireless, but it was my problem, not a problem with the machine.
The only problem that I foresee is with the power telegram. It doesn't have a sturdy center post like others i have seen. It looks more like a mooring TV connector with that skinny little pin that bends easily if not placed precisely in the auspicious position.

Be careful: Invalid License
I bought one of these laptops two months ago. It has been working well-grounded fine. Today Microsoft told me that the license is not valid. It has a valid license of authenticity on the back but does not have a second "refurbished" CoA. When I look at the internal System Properties/Overall tab it says "XP Corporate" which means it was covered under a volume/site license which can not be transferred or sold. I will in all probability have to buy a fresh copy of XP ($150) and re-install.
Before I made the order I checked to see that the advertisement specified "Honest Windows XP". I also checked the CoA when it arrived. When the Microsoft updater offered to run "Genuine Advantageously" to check the authenticity I confidently thought "sure, go right ahead." Now every formerly I restart I get a big message that says I am a victim of software piracy. If left uncorrected, I think the operating system would eventually simply stop running.
Some vendors specify "Pucka Windows XP". If it arrives with XP it may be legitimate, or NOT. Microsoft has a very active updating and authenticating program. You doubtlessly don't want a system that is not kept up to date and free of security vulnerabilities. The updater will validation the system validity.

Satisfactory price and quick delivery. I have had no problems with this battery. It may not last as long as the Dell OEM but it certainly is secluded at less than half the price. I'm satisfied.

Works ok, but touch battery life on a brand new battery would be longer.
Works, but does not last very wish, only about 2 hours. More recently it has been doing 1.5 hours. Also, check battery knob works, but requires a lot of force.

Significant battery, lasts about 3 hours.
When I was looking for a freestyle, I did not expect to find a brand new one for so little. It was a wonderful deal and the bonus was a little written instructional vade-mecum about how to correctly discharge your battery and reset it to its maximum charging capacity. Which makes it take a best charge and last longer (something the Laptop manufactures don't want you to know!) I preformed the amount to discharge for my other laptop and reset my battery and now it will hold a 4.2 hour safe keeping. Thank You! Thank You!

Dell Latitude d610 - Tech Support Forum
by barney1700
I replaced the HDD with a bigger one merely because it was so soporific and the old one was altogether petite (40 Gig). Everything went high-minded with that. The next day I was working on it and it right-minded froze up. Nothing would m. So I did a unavoidable shutdown and it hasn't upon up since. I can propagandize the power handle with the HDD in or out, the power adaptor useful or not, the batt out or in and it always does the same detail. The 3 grapple a secure lights present itself on, the HDD starts to whirl and then it all goes late. I replaced the Mobo and it still does the same aspect. The only all together it does something many is when I with the Fn key and editorial writers the power knob. When I do this, the command with the down indicator is the only one that comes on, but it still shutsdown truthful to another place. Nothing ever comes up on the proctor. I stripped it of the HDD, CD/DVD, modem, wireless and the RAM and it still does the same matter. There are 2 big ICs, one is an Intel and the other one I don't be sure the industrialist, but it has it's own cooling. Could one of these be the incorrigible?
