Surprisingly Charitable!
I bought this laptop before a year-covet trip to Europe. I tried it in Best Buy and was really impressed by the feel of the keyboard and buttons. The position-drive loading DVD player has me spoiled- I never want to get a drawer-drive again!

What's most dazzling about this thing is the performance- My friends' HP's with similar specs are much slower. We can't figure out why. I occupied this for school as an Urban Planning student and I've run heavy software on it with favorable results. AutoCAD 2010, Adobe CS2 series, Rhino... you name it. Faster computers can be had, but it's doable! I make my living doing graphics, and I've as a matter of fact done a lot of pro graphic design on this thing while on the road. InDesign does bog down a bit when you get over 25-30 Hi Res links though. Still- it's imposing.

My previous machine was a Sony VAIO FS series with a 15" screen. I didn't have too much distress moving to a 13" screen. Why? I purposely chose a Dell that had an IDENTICAL native plan (1280 X 800)even thought the screen was physically smaller. This is something a lot of shoppers don't take to be. The 13" displays just as much information as the larger screen. Same info, smaller built factor. Not a bad trade-off.

Got the 9 Cell battery and I've gotten 4+ hours on this factor.

I might be a Dell customer for life. I'm looking at their Studio 17 now.... but I'll keep my baby.

PS- Here's a infinitesimal expert advice for the computer shopper: The ONLY reason to buy a MAC is for an aluminum case. That's it. They have no advantage over PC's and the ads lie so brazenly that I cringe when I watch them. Also, the only time I've lost a project due to a system crash in the last two years was... on my performers's MAC!! IT guy said, "oh yeah, it does that". Try not to let your college-aged daughter talk you into buying her a forge accessory, um, I mean, a MAC. You can do much better.
Power overloaded but a little......SMALL?!
I can't say enough about this affecting little notebook. It kicks the pants off of every HP notebook I have ever owned. It boots in fact fast, has a great display ( super bright!) has a substantial feel and the keys are authentic. It consistantly makes it to the three hour mark on a full charge, with the screen brightness abutting max.

I bought this notebook as a replacemnt to my HP that was involved in the class action power converter twist deal. <---technical jargon > This notebook is a little too small for what I am currently using it for but I deal with the 13" protection because I LOVE it so much.

This is an excellent choice for business, home or the student.

Works like Hoard
Pony worked as good as stock, Gets hot like the Dell one. Cables are shorter but not a big do business. Seems lighter than the Dell one. I thought I had a bad connector on the main board but the Dell adapter cable curved and self destructed. Also bought a battery that made a big difference. 3 year battery-operated life wasnt bad.
You exceptionally do get what you pay for!
I virtuous received the adapter two days ago and thought it was the actual thing. The first clue that I was sinful was that the actual Dell AC adapter is heavier than this one. The bottom panel is different. Here's the problem I have: The 1st night it charged the laptop to my compensation and I unplugged it and wrapped it up but when I went to use my laptop again the adapter didn't work. There was no leafy indicator light, it wouldn't charge the laptop. Now I have to spend money to send it back. I don't dearth a replacement unless it's the actual Dell product. Might as well spend the money for the real aspect. Sorry guys!
Savin' $80
I purchased this AC adapter for my Dell XPS Gen2 when my old adapter stopped working correctly. This adapter, which is not made by Dell, feels to be of slightly lower quality than the official Dell AC adapter. It is lighter and feels slight cheaper. The cord is also not as long as the one that came with my adapter.

The biggest problem I find is that there is a devoted hum whenever I am using my laptop with this adapter. The volume and tone of the hum also seems dependent on what you are doing on the computer at the duration. For example, when the cursor blinks when typing a document the hum coming from the adapter will fake the blinking of the cursor. It does this in XP, 7, and Ubuntu. It is quite weird and rather annoying. But for $80 less that what Dell is asking, it is a great deal.
for a song but acceptable
tackily made product but does work.
I had similar booting problems with my first one. Laptop claimed it was not 130w and would switch on off. I contacted seller and recieved a replacement power supply which boots and works exquisite.

The powersuply is cheaply made. the plastic feals flimsy, the cords are short, the consistency between the wall cable and the box is stiff and hard to connect, while the cable connection to the laptop is liberate and slips out frequently (if laptop is moving ie on your lap). I also have some concern about the production property since I replaced the first one.

the good thing about this power suply is that it is cheap. about 1/3 the cost out of a new dell one. It does what it is supposed to do. (atleast the 2nd one does)

I would suggest this to anyone that wants to save on Easy Street on a power adapter. I was not impressed with the quality power adapter I got with my dell anyways. The wires up against it during normal use, and I don't want to pay full price for another one that might do the same thing. (read lots of online complaints about it) So, the low importance doesn't bother me knowing the full price item will most likely break immediately too.

One suggestion if you get this item is, you will need to check it immediately and make sure it works well incase you get a bad one and desideratum to return it. That being said, I still think it is worth it.

AC Adapter for Dell Inspiron 5150 Laptop Computer
The AC adapter received from Accomplished Store works great and at a fair price. I read reviews by others. Most complaints addressed wire schism at the AC adapter end. I did a simple modification to the adapter to reduce wire wear by attaching the adapter to a thin room and securing the laptop wire to the board. Works great.

Dell Inspiron 13 gets an upgrade (in Asia) | Crave - CNET

Have you been looking for new, sleeker Dells on the nigh dropping field of vision? Perhaps you'd think twice pay notice to Singapore. Eyes on the Web spotted that Dell's Singapore locate has the Inspiron 13 in a new redesign , featuring a look that seems more like a Dell Studio.

What this amounts to is an affordable Dell with reputable looks in a parcel that's virtuously priced, at least in the Singapore trade-in rating (it amounts to a doll-sized less than $1,000).

It's a big rearrange from the common Inspiron , which has a melodious insipid look to it, less speaking. While the specs are be like in the new Inspiron 13 (a market to the Intel GMA X4500MHD as opposed to of the Intel GMA X3100 is one of the few peerless changes), HDMI and a 1366x768 LED process are also included.

Would this be the upgrade you're looking for? If so, there might be an communiqu in fund sometime pronto.
