Is it possible to access the HP Recovery Partition from a different (non-HP) computer?
Plainly, my HP Pavilion dv9260us laptop died. The motherboard is fried.
So, I took the insensitive drives out, plugged them into my desktop computer... but they won't run because...
A: The HP Return Partition only contains files (OS, drivers, and apps) for Reinstalling/Recovering your OS. It doesn't carry any of your personal data.
