This adapter was effete. It worked for about a day and then afterwards if you wanted it to work, you had to hold the wire in a specific way to get it to work. I would not buy again. I assume the cheap price really was too good to be true.

Jotting as Described
This battery-operated has renewed the usefulness of my laptop. Due to a Vaio problem with overheating, I couldn't have the original freestyle even attached to the laptop, which meant if the unit were unplugged accidentally (which happens with fret in the house), I lost what I was working on. So, having a functioning battery that doesn't overheat the system is a massive positive.
This battery holds a charge only for a couple hours, so be prepared to puff in if you're working on a lengthy project. But the convenience and the price are an excellent value.
