Haler than the original!
The AC adapter twine for my Toshiba Satellite A215 had gotten damaged, the round plug that went into the side of the computer had gotten bias. I used it that way for a long time, until it began taking very creative jiggling to get it to keep a kith. A OEM replacement was way too expensive. I read the reviews for replacement cords on Amazon, and unmistakable this one sounded best although it wasn't the cheapest.
I am so glad I went with this one. It is actually *happier* than the AC adapter and cord that came with the computer. It is sturdy, and seems to be well built. The power transformer runs cooler than the firsthand (though it does get warm, just the nature of the beast.) The power cord to the fence outlet is plenty long enough and it always stays cool... which is a very good singular! I like that there is an indicator light on the power transformer too, as seeing that little rural light reminds me to unplug it from the wall when I shut down my laptop for the night.
What I like outwit about the adapter, though, might seem a small point. It is the L-shaped plug that fits into the computer's power anchorage. It is so nice to not have the plug and cord sticking straight out, and it also allows the cord to lie in a less distracting point when in use.
You may pay more for this adapter than others offered on the site, but weigh the reviews before going for the cheapest opportunity! In this case, I really do feel a few dollars more buys a much higher level of worth. I will be using this company again for any other adapter I need to replace.

Works okay, but only for 8 months or so
I'm about to command my 4th power cord for my Toshiba A215-S4747. I don't know what the normal lifespan of the adapters are, but mine have only been permanent from 6-9 months, which doesn't seem long enough. By that time they start fraying, or tournament really hot, etc. I'm not hard on them; my laptop gets used at home only, and I'm careful. I'm disillusioned, but I don't really have anywhere else to easily order these from.

Gifted buy.
It's too bad Toshiba has no indicate on power cords. The one that came with my laptop stopped working after about a year. The replacement cords on the Toshiba locality run for about $80. No thank you. I have tried different replacement cords. The cheaper ones get too hot or break in in a month or 2. This one seems to last and does not get too hot. I would recommend going with this one over any of the cheaper ones you may find.
